XYOUNGSTOWN -- The exchange of marriage vows took place during a 2 p.m. ceremony Dec. 13 as Aereal Gessler, 1038 S. Schenley Ave., and Dan Martin, 16533 Shilling Road, Berlin Center, were united in marriage at St. John Episcopal Church.
The Rev. John Horner presided at the ceremony, and an evening reception was held at St. Mary Assumption Social Center. After a wedding trip to New York City, the couple live at the Berlin Center address.
Parents of the bride are Debbie DeCecco of Youngstown and Robert Gessler of Struthers. The groom is a son of Ron and Sue Martin of Cape Coral, Fla.
The bride's strapless satin organza gown was enhanced with beading, and featured a full skirt and removable wrap-around train.
Wine-colored gowns were worn by Tracie Odom and Amy Gessler, the honor attendants, and the bridesmaids, Launa Martin, Janine Bell, Monica Kalasky and Elyse Gessler. Junior bridesmaid was Montana Gessler, and flower girl was Taylor Martin.
The duties of best man were performed by Daniel Martin, and groomsmen were Mathew Gessler, Ron Martin, Ben Wahib, George Wainio and Patrick Gessler. Ring bearers were Kyle Martin and Brandon Martin.
The bride, a third-grade teacher with Youngstown City School District, graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in elementary education.
The groom earned a degree in middle-school education from YSU and is the owner-operator of Mill Creek Deli.
