"LOVE DON'T COST A THING"
Nick Cannon, Christina Milian
Rated PG-13
Nick Cannon plays Alvin, a dork who blackmails Paris (Milian), the queen of the school, into dating him -- instant popularity for Alvin, right? Uh, no.
Did you hear that ... Nick and Christina are a real-life item? Seems that life does imitate art!
"STUCK ON YOU"
Matt Damon, Greg Kinnear, Eva Mendes
Rated PG-13
The politically incorrect Farrelly brothers, the duo behind "There's Something About Mary," now have Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear joined at the hip -- literally! The two play Siamese twins with very different life goals: Walt (Kinnear) wants to move to Hollywood to pursue an acting career and must convince Bob (Damon) to come along.
This is over-the-top comedy at its best -- especially when Walt falls in love with April (Mendes) and their relationship gets physical.
Did you hear that ... speaking of joined at the hip, rumor has it that Matt Damon and ex-fianc & eacute;e Odessa Whitmore broke up over Eva Mendes. Seems that off-screen, it was Damon and Mendes who were inseparable!
"MONA LISA SMILE"
Julia Roberts, Kirsten Dunst, Julia Stiles
Rated PG-13
Wellesley College, 1953: Katherine Watson (Roberts) is an art history professor who refuses to let her students settle for just an M.R.S. (as in, Mrs., or How to Snag the Wealthiest Husband in Town) degree.
The powers that be at Wellesley don't approve of her methods -- and as an early feminist, Watson struggles to keep her job. Is it the girl version of "Dead Poets Society"? Maybe. But well worth the money.
"COLD MOUNTAIN"
Nicole Kidman, Jude Law, Renee Zellweger
Rated R
The much anticipated big-screen adaptation of the award-winning novel by Charles Frazier stars Jude Law as Inman, a Confederate soldier who -- ignoring a major neck wound -- escapes a veterans hospital and embarks on an arduous trek home to his girl, Ada (Kidman). Meanwhile, former lady of leisure Ada is struggling to maintain her late father's farm -- that is, until she takes in a drifter (Zellweger) who teaches her a little about farm-girl livin'.
