Hartmans feted at surprise party on anniversary

XCANFIELD -- Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hartman of Canfield were honored Nov. 28 during a surprise celebration to mark their 50th wedding anniversary arranged by their children and grandchildren.
Friends and family members attended the event that was held at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Bill Moore of North Jackson, and co-hosted by their sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Susan Hartman and Matthew and Tonya Hartman, all of Canfield and Todd Hartman of Salem, and their five grandchildren.
The former Mary Nicodemo and Mr. Hartman were married Nov. 27, 1953, in Frederick, Md.
Mr. Hartman, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, retired from Falcon Foundry in Lowellville in 1994.
Mrs. Hartman retired from school-bus driving in 1981, and owns and operates Custom Draperies in Canfield. She is serving as treasurer with the Easter Seals Auxiliary, is a member of the Master Gardener Program at Fellows Riverside Gardens, is vice mother for the Red Hat Society of Youngstown and dances with the Fun Time Cloggers in Diamond.
