Villanova 59, No. 1 Connecticut 56
VILLANOVA, Pa. -- Lisa Suez hit a turnaround jumper with 56 seconds remaining and scored 23 points, giving Villanova its second stunning win in two years over the Huskies. The Wildcats (21-5, 11-4 Big East) snapped UConn's 70-game winning streak in the championship of last year's Big East Conference tournament. UConn (23-3, 13-2) led by three points with just over three minutes to play. Jackie Adamshick, who scored 13 points, hit a 3-pointer with 3:05 remaining for a 54-52 lead. Diana Taurasi tied it with 2:47 to go, but the Huskies were never ahead again. Suez hit the jumper, then combined with Adamshick to sink three free throws in the final minute to seal the win. Barbara Turner scored 25 points for the Huskies.
No. 7 Louisiana Tech 80, Boise St. 48
BOISE, Idaho -- Amisha Carter had 20 points and 14 rebounds to lead Louisiana Tech (22-2, 15-1 Western Athletic Conference) to its 14th straight victory. Trina Frierson and Amber Obaze added 12 points apiece. Boise State (8-18, 5-12) was led by Jamie Hawkins with 10 points.
No. 8 Texas Tech 60, No. 14 Colorado 51
LUBBOCK, Texas -- Jolee Ayers-Curry scored 16 points as Texas Tech held off Colorado. Chesley Dabbs had a career-high 11 rebounds and 12 points for the Raiders (24-5, 10-5). Tera Bjorklund scored 15 points and Randie Wirt added 13 for the Buffaloes. Wirt also pulled down 11 rebounds.
No. 10 Stanford 67, Oregon St. 66
CORVALLIS,Ore. -- Nicole Powell had 23 points and 13 rebounds and Kelley Suminski added 17 points for the Cardinal (21-6, 14-4), who went on a 26-10 run to the end of the game. Shannon Howell had 20 points to lead Oregon State (14-13, 8-10), which lost after Mandy Close's 3-point attempt at the buzzer bounced off the rim.
No. 16 Baylor 80, Texas A & amp;M 55
WACO, Texas -- Dionne Brown scored 16 points for Baylor (21-7, 9-6 Big 12). Sophia Young and Steffanie Blackmon added 13 points each for the Bears. Charlette Castile led Texas A & amp;M (9-17, 2-13) with 15 points.
No. 21 Miami 82, West Virginia 74
CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- Chanivia Broussard scored 25 points to lead Miami, which withstood a late rally by West Virginia. Miami (21-5, 10-5 Big East) led by as many as 20 points in the second half, but West Virginia put together a 12-2 run and got to 74-68 on Kate Bulger's 3-pointer with 37 seconds remaining. She had eight 3-pointers -- including four in the final 1:42 -- and finished with 28 points for West Virginia (19-8, 10-5). Yalonda McCormick hit all six of her free throw attempts in the final 32 seconds to seal the victory for Miami. She finished with 14 points.
No. 23 Oklahoma 78, Oklahoma St. 44
STILLWATER, Okla. -- Caton Hill scored 18 points in the first half and Maria Villarroel finished with 22 points, leading Oklahoma. Dionnah Jackson scored 12 points for the Sooners (19-7, 9-6 Big 12). Nina Stone scored 14 points for Oklahoma State (8-18, 3-12), which shot just 27 percent and lost its eighth straight. The Cowgirls finished with 16 turnovers and 14 field goals.
