WARREN Shooting at apartment complex kills one man, injures another



WARREN -- Police are investigating a double shooting that left one man dead.
The shooting took place Wednesday afternoon at Gateway Apartments, an apartment complex off Southern Boulevard, according to Police Chief John Mandopoulos.
"There was some sort of dispute between two men, and they decided to settle it with guns," the chief said. He noted one man was shot in the leg and the other in the chest.
Police reports state that Eddie Anderson, 25, no street address available, of Warren, died shortly after being taken to a local hospital. Police found Anderson outside the apartment complex around 4:13 p.m., reports state.
Another man, Adam Bonner, 24, was found shot in the leg inside the apartment complex. He was taken to St. Joseph Health Center and then taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center, where he remains in stable condition.
Police said they didn't know if Bonner lived at the apartment complex.
No charges have been filed.
"Detectives are working the case now and trying to sort this out," the chief said. "I don't have any other details at this time."
Detectives said they do not know what triggered the shooting. Police are taking statements from witnesses and hope to speak to Bonner later today.
