HUBBARD
Feb. 17
Criminal mischief: An employee at St. Patrick's School, 38 E. Water St., reported three boys threw eggs at the school.
Feb. 18
Criminal damaging: A Fifth Avenue man got into his vehicle and noticed a BB hole and a 6-inch crack in its windshield.
Criminal damaging: A Stewart Avenue woman reported some juveniles placed pieces of downspouts and tree branches in the roadway near West Park and Stewart avenues.
Feb. 19
Recovered property: A 1982 Oldsmobile was recovered in the Bell Wick Bowl parking lot, 6105 W. Liberty St., after a Myron Street man reported it stolen from the U.S. Can Co. parking lot in Hubbard.
Recovered property: Youngstown State University police stopped a 1980 Chevrolet vehicle in Youngstown after it was stolen from the Bell Wick Bowl parking lot.
Feb. 21
Theft: A Doris Drive man discovered someone obtained his credit card number and bought items online without his consent.
LIBERTY
Feb. 15
Felonious assault: A Canfield woman told police that a man got out of a red vehicle and assaulted her when she was outside a building in the 500 block of Gypsy Lane. She said the man grabbed her arms from behind her back, used a knife to cut both of her upper arms and pushed her away before fleeing. The victim was found unconscious in a nearby parking lot.
Feb. 17
Arrest: After pulling over a vehicle near Colonial Drive and Fifth Avenue, police arrested a 53-year-old Youngstown woman on a warrant charging her with cruelty to animals. She also was cited on two traffic charges.
Feb. 18
Criminal damaging: A Warren man reported that he was told someone had placed sugar in a vehicle's gas tank while the car was parked in a yard in the 200 block of Catherine Street.
Feb. 20
Theft: An employee at a BP gas station, 2703 Belmont Ave., reported a man in his early to mid-30s stole $150 worth of health and beauty products.
Drugs: After investigating a vehicular accident near U.S. Route 62 and Homestead Road, police cited a 33-year-old Warren man on charges of failure to control his vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers say they found a plastic syringe, a metal spoon and a bottle in the car.
Feb. 21
Theft: A man reported a $400 compact-disc player and $2 were removed from his vehicle parked at his home in the 1000 block of Leslie Lane.
Arrest: After responding to a call about a suspicious person at Denny's Restaurant, 4020 Belmont Ave., police arrested a 22-year-old Youngstown woman on charges of criminal trespass, resisting arrest and obstructing official business. Officers say the woman refused to give them her name and to leave the restaurant.
Feb. 22
Assault: A woman alleged a Youngstown woman, 22, tossed a butter knife in her direction before choking her and slamming her into a wall during a fight at Denny's Restaurant.
Breaking and entering: A woman returned to her apartment in the 3000 block of Frederick Street and found her front door forced open and a bedroom ransacked. Two rings, a set of diamond earrings and a $700 pearl necklace were stolen.
Arrest: After responding to a 911 call at a residence in the 200 block of Colonial Drive, police arrested a 25-year-old Youngstown man on charges of burglary, domestic violence, violating a protection order, assault on a peace officer and resisting arrest. The suspect's wife said he climbed into her home through a window. Officers say they saw him pushing the woman against a living room wall, and that he tried to kick a police officer in the groin after being arrested.
Breaking and entering: Someone entered a vacant apartment in the 3100 block of Hadley Avenue, possibly with a key, and removed a $500 refrigerator.
Theft: A man in the 600 block of Gypsy Lane discovered various personal papers missing from his car's glove compartment.
Counterfeit: An employee at Bob Evans Restaurant, 3818 Belmont Ave., reported two men in their 30s used two counterfeit $20 bills to pay a $28.10 food bill.
Feb. 23
Theft: A student at Liberty High School, 1 Leopard Way, reported his wallet containing $27 stolen from a table.
Theft: An employee at Consumer Car Co. Inc., 5925 Belmont Ave., told police he had been contacted by a Home Depot store in Niles about suspicious activity on a company credit card. He also reported a $2,500 two-wheel tow dolly missing.
Arrest: Police arrested an 18-year-old Youngstown woman at Liberty High School on a warrant charging her with domestic violence.
GIRARD
Feb. 22
Bad checks: Police charged a Youngstown woman with two counts of passing bad checks after an employee at Tobacco Plus, 706 N. State St., said she wrote two bad checks -- one for $97 and the other for $74.49.
Assault: A woman in the 600 block of Church Hill Road reported a man pushed her and punched her in the face at her apartment during an altercation. She also alleged he pushed her 4-year-old child to the ground in another room.
Stolen property: After arresting a Youngstown woman, police said they found several identity and credit cards, receipts and other items belonging to other people and businesses.
Feb. 23
Forgery: Police reported that after they removed a woman from their cruiser, they found a checkbook and identity and Social Security cards in someone else's name under a seat.
