"Basics of Magic." It's Harry Houdini's birthday, so celebrate by learning some of the basics of stage illusion for grades 7-12 at 4:30 p.m. at East, March 17; North, March 15; and South, March 16. These three great programs are scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
"Get on Board and Read @ Your Library." Teens, grab a book from the library, read it and create an entry about what the book means to you. Entries will be submitted to the national contest sponsored by the American Library Association in partnership with Hershey's Milk and Milkshakes. The contest winner will meet legendary skateboarder, Tony Hawk -- for ages 12-18, at Main, for the month of March. See the librarian for details and sign up.
"Tax Assistance for Senior Citizens." Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) programs will include sites in several libraries in Mahoning County. The tax programs assist senior citizens in preparing their tax returns. Donna Wynn of Magic Moccasin will tell the tale of past, present and future American Indians through places, names, artifacts and traditional story telling at Main, noon-1 p.m. March 9.
