Language courses
Three levels of German plus beginning French, Spanish and Italian will be offered at four locations through the area. Level I German, Italian, Spanish and French will be offered Wednesdays at Hubbard High School, Thursdays at Austintown Fitch High School, and Mondays at Poland schools. Levels 1 and 2 German and Italian will be offered Tuesdays at Hermitage Middle School. Level 3 German is at Austintown only. These classes are for children 12 and older and adults. Lenten program
SHARON, Pa. -- St. John's Episcopal Church, 226 W. State St., will present the first of its annual Lenten Meditation-Recital series at noon Tuesday. The program opens with carillon music followed by a recital by harpist Kirk Kupensky, accompanied by Paula A. Kubik, church organist and choir director. The program is free and will be followed by a light lunch served in the Parish House.
Programs for seniors
Mercer County Area Agency on Aging will have two town hall meetings to seek public comment on issues, programs and services as it develops a four-year plan to guide its programs and services through 2008. The meetings are 10 a.m. to noon March 8 in the Mercer County Cooperative Extension office, 463 N. Perry Highway, Mercer, and 10 a.m. to noon March 9 in the Shenango Valley Center for Aging & amp; Geriatric Health, 220 N. Buhl Farm Drive, Hermitage.
