HORIZON LEAGUE Loyola (Chicago) extends CSU's streak to 21 games

CHICAGO -- Paul McMillan scored 19 points and Demetrius Williams added 14 to lift Loyola of Chicago to a 70-59 victory over Cleveland State Thursday night.
The loss extended Cleveland State's losing streak to 21 games. If the Vikings lose at Wisconsin-Milwaukee Saturday, they will become the first team to go through a Horizon League season winless since Xavier went 0-5 in the league's first season in 1980.
Cleveland State (4-23, 0-15 HL) led throughout the first half, taking a 39-37 lead at halftime on 57 percent shooting from the field.
Loyola (8-19, 4-12) took the lead for good on a layup by Terrance Whiters off a steal with 13:16 remaining to make it 50-48.
Omari Westley grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Vikings.
Cleveland State's Victor Morris scored 16 points, while Jermaine Robinson added 14 and Westley 11.
Ill.-Chicago 75, Wright St. 71
CHICAGO, Ill. -- Cedrick Banks scored 20 points to lead Illinois-Chicago (21-7, 11-4 HL), which went on a 12-0 run late in the second half to take control of the game.
The Flames got help from Armond Williams with 14 points. Elliott Poole and Aaron Carr each added 12.
Vernard Hollins led Wright State (14-12, 10-5) with 26 points.
Detroit 61, Wis.-Green Bay 52
DETROIT -- James Thues scored all 16 of his points in the second half to lead Detroit. Willie Wallace finished with 11 points and eight rebounds, and Ryvon Coville added 10 points for the Titans (16-10, 9-6 HL), who won their seventh straight game.
The Phoenix (16-10, 10-5), which lost its third consecutive game, got 16 from Mike King and 14 from Brandon Morris.
