Designer T-shirts feature Hillary's face

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Designer Marc Jacobs has a new muse, and her name is Hillary.
Jacobs, who has been inspired in the past by "Lost in Translation" movie director Sofia Coppola when designing his line of casual chic clothing and accessories, has found new inspiration in an unlikely place: Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Jacobs has designed a series of T-shirts with a print of the New York senator's smiling face superimposed on colors ranging from hot pink to dark brown, vaguely reminiscent of Andy Warhol's iconic series of Marilyn Monroe prints.
The hipster couture suggests the former first lady has come a long way from the headbands that were her original fashion statement.
For those who want to wear their support for the Democratic senator on their short-sleeves, the T-shirts cost a hefty $55 apiece. For those who want the long-sleeved version, the price tag is $60.
Friends of Hillary announced recently it is selling the shirts over its Web site. They also are for sale in Marc Jacobs' Manhattan boutiques.
