Daffin's Candies sets annual factory tour March 28

FARRELL, Pa. -- It's an event that draws hundreds of people to the corner of Spearman and Broadway avenues about this time each year.
Daffin's Candies will have its annual Swizzle Stick Day and Chocolate Factory Tour from noon to 5 p.m. March 28 at the factory at 7 Spearman Ave.
It's all free and visitors will get a chance to sample some of Daffin's famous chocolate and see how it is made. The Easter bunny and other unique characters will be there with some surprises for visitors.
Each area of the factory will be specially labeled, and workers will demonstrate hand-decorating of Easter candy and baskets as well as the pouring of chocolate molds.
Daffin's main store at 496 E. State St. in Sharon, home of The Chocolate Kingdom, will also hold an open house during the same hours.
To get to the factory, take Exit 4B North off Interstate 80, bear left at the Downtown Sharon/Wheatland/Farrell sign onto Broadway and follow it just over two miles to the Daffin's Factory sign at Spearman Avenue.
Parking at the site is limited and Daffin's will again run a free shuttle service for people who want to park at the Sharon City Centre parking lot at East State Street and Water Avenue in downtown Sharon.
