1 dead, 1 hurt in Warren shooting

WARREN -- Police are investigating a double shooting that left one man dead.
The shooting took place Wednesday afternoon in an apartment complex off Southern Boulevard, according to Police Chief John Mandopoulos.
"There was some sort of dispute between two men, and they decided to settle it with guns," the chief said. He noted one man was shot in the leg and the other in the back.
No names were released.
One man died and the other is in stable condition at St. Joseph Health Center, officials said.
"Detectives are working the case now and trying to sort this out," the chief said. "I don't have any other details at this time."
The shooting was reported to police at 4:13 p.m. and occurred inside an apartment building at 501 Southern Blvd., according to police Lt. Cathy Giovannone.
