Feb. 18
Theft: A 48-year-old Youngstown man was charged with theft after a basketball jersey and a football jersey, valued at $180, were stolen from Kohl's, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft by deception: A Cook Avenue woman reported being tricked out of $500 while she was in the Extreme Fitness parking lot, 255 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: Someone stole 30 cans of baby formula and two packages of diapers from Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: A Canfield woman reported her purse, wallet and driver's license stolen from her vehicle parked in the 900 block of Sahara Trail.
Arrest: After they stopped his car near Hillman Way and Mistletoe Avenue, police arrested a 25-year-old Austintown man on charges of obstructing official business and disorderly conduct.
Attempted theft, criminal damage: A woman in the 7400 block of West Boulevard reported someone damaged a panel under her vehicle's steering column before trying to steal the car.
Arrest: A 36-year-old New Springfield woman was arrested at Boardman Court on U.S. Route 224 on a warrant charging her with receiving stolen property.

Theft: A woman reported a $2,400 diamond engagement two-piece bridal set stolen from her home in the 60 block of Forest Garden Drive.
Credit-card fraud: A Poland man discovered someone made $571 worth of fraudulent purchases on his credit card without his knowledge or consent.
Attempted auto thefts: An employee at Tuffy Auto Service Center, 721 Boardman-Canfield Road, reported someone broke into and tried to steal three vehicles on the lot.
Burglary: A residence in the 100 block of Indianola Road was burglarized, and a $100 microwave oven, a box of pots and pans, $100 in cash and a videocassette recorder were stolen.
Arrest: A 33-year-old Youngstown man was arrested in the 300 block of Boardman-Poland Road on a warrant from New Castle, Pa., charging him with a firearms violation.

Theft: A woman reported 92 compact discs were removed from her car parked in the 6500 block of Paxton Road.
Burglary: Someone broke into a residence in the 50 block of Forest Hill Drive and took a $680 TV-VCR-DVD unit, a $100 video game and 10 DVDs.
Recovered property: After police pulled over a 1993 Chevy Cavalier near Hillman Way, they discovered it had been reported stolen in Youngstown.
Theft: A Youngstown woman reported her wallet and $80 stolen while she was at Marc's, 7121 Tiffany Blvd.
Theft: Police arrested two Youngstown girls, 13 and 14, on theft charges after 10 rings, one set of earrings and 12 bracelets were stolen from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall. A Youngstown boy, 13, was charged with complicity to theft.
Theft: An employee at Kinko's Copies, 48 Boardman-Poland Road, reported the business was the victim of a theft scam in which two checks totaling $172 were stolen.
Arrest: A 19-year-old Canfield man was arrested at Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road, on charges of attempting to purchase and consume alcohol and obstructing official business. Police say they found an 18-pack of beer, and that he provided them with false information about his identity.
Assault: A Boardman woman reported being assaulted while she was on Trailwood Drive. The woman had swelling on her upper right cheek and a cut on her face.
Theft: An employee of the Vindicator discovered a $75 battery was missing from a delivery truck in the 8400 block of South Avenue.

Theft: An employee at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, 976 Boardman-Poland Road, reported a $457 cellular phone-camera device was stolen from his jacket pocket inside the breakroom.
Theft: A 24-year-old Youngstown man faced charges of felony theft and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after seven Cleveland Indians coats, valued at $770, were stolen from the J.C. Penney store.
Vandalism: An employee at the Red Roof Inn, 1051 Tiffany Blvd., reported a lamp, three light bulbs, a shower curtain rod and two towel racks were damaged.

Criminal damage: A woman in the 200 block of Washington Boulevard reported three glass window panes and an outside lamp post were damaged.
Criminal damage: A woman in the 5800 block of Cheriwood Court reported someone shot BBs and hit a front window, resulting in $150 in damage.
Theft: An employee at the Microtel Inn, 7393 South Ave., reported an iron, an ironing board and a hair dryer were removed from a room.
Arrests: A Youngstown man, 22, and a Boardman woman, 21, were arrested at a Beechwood Avenue residence. Each was charged with two counts of endangering children, and the woman also was charged with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Burglary: A woman discovered 25 checks, a glass necklace and two credit cards missing from her apartment in the 7100 block of Locust Avenue.
Vandalism: A man and a woman reported two windows broken at an apartment they own in the 200 block of Washington Boulevard.
Theft, criminal damage: A woman reported damage to her vehicle's driver's-side door lock, door and dashboard and a $250 AM-FM CD player stolen in the Cafe Capri Italian Bar & amp; Grill parking lot, 7807 Market St.
Theft: An employee at Dollar Tree, 541 Boardman-Poland Road, reported 11 boxes of candy stolen.
Theft: A woman in the 70 block of Gertrude Avenue reported an 18-karat gold necklace, eight diamond bands, miscellaneous costume jewelry and four to five CDs stolen from her home. Estimated value of the items was $1,400.
Assault: A Boardman woman reported being assaulted while she was at Movies 8, 469 Boardman-Poland Road. She had redness near her left eye.
Breaking and entering: Someone smashed a window and broke into Rocky's Personalized Training, 1285 Boardman-Canfield Road, through the main door and stole an undetermined amount of money.
