St. Patrick's parade
BOARDMAN -- The 26th annual Mahoning Valley St. Patrick's Day Parade will be at 1 p.m. March 14.
The event, sponsored by The Vindicator, will begin at McClurg Road going north to Southwoods Avenue.
Those interested in marching in the parade must submit an entry by Monday. Contact Wally Dunne at (330) 783-0487 for more details.
Poland road project
POLAND -- The Ohio Department of Transportation plans to resurface U.S. Route 224 in the township from Riverside Drive to the Pennsylvania state line beginning in spring of 2006.
Left-turn lanes will be added in all four directions at the 224 and Clingan intersection.
Left-turn lanes will not be added at the Struthers Road intersection, however, to minimize impact to adjacent property owners, reduce the amount of necessary right of way, and preserve a bald cypress tree at the intersection.
