AUSTINTOWN -- Township police are seeking the public's help in locating a 15-year-old Fitch High School student who they believe ran away.
Tara L. Scott was reported missing by her mother about 4:26 a.m. Tuesday, police reports show. Reports show the girl was scheduled to start a drug treatment program Tuesday afternoon.
Tara did not want to start the program, her parents said, and her father found her missing from her bed about 2 a.m., according to police reports.

Volunteers wanted
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Court Appointed Special Advocate Program is seeking community volunteers to be trained as guardian ad litems in Mahoning County Juvenile Court. After a six-week, 34-hour training course that takes place Wednesday evenings and Saturdays, volunteers take an oath to represent the best interest of abused, neglected and dependent children, and agree to remain with the program for at least 18 months.
