No. 3 Duke 102, Clemson 45
DURHAM, N.C. -- Alana Beard made 11 of 13 shots in a 28-point performance in her final regular-season home game to lead Duke to victory over Clemson -- the worst defeat in Tigers history. Duke (23-3, 14-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) had five players in double figures in its sixth straight victory. The worst previous showing by Clemson (17-9, 7-8) was a 112-58 loss at Old Dominion on Nov. 30, 1979. Monique Currie added 13 points, Iciss Tillis 11, and Lindsey Harding and Brittany Hunter 10 apiece for Duke. Beard also had three steals and nine rebounds in 27 minutes of play. It was the last regular-season game in Cameron Indoor Stadium for Duke seniors Beard, Tillis and Vicki Krapohl, although the Blue Devils will host a set of NCAA first- and second-round games March 21-23. Beard and Harding had 10 points apiece as Duke rolled to a 48-20 halftime lead. Beard scored nine of Duke's first 11 points in the second half.

HOUSTON -- Chandi Jones scored 26 points and made four free throws in the final 24 seconds to help Houston win the Conference USA regular-season championship with a victory over Texas Christian. Houston (24-3, 13-1) trailed 50-38 with 17:03 left, but the Lady Cougars ended the game by outscoring TCU 38-21. The Lady Frogs (22-5, 11-3) lost despite 21 points, 19 rebounds and seven blocks by Sandora Irvin. Houston took its first lead with 9:07 remaining when Nicole Oliver connected on two free throws. The Cougars led by six points with 35 seconds remaining when TCU's Kim Ortega hit a 3-pointer to cut the lead to 71-68. TCU had a chance to tie, but Adrianne Ross threw up an air ball that Jones rebounded.
