"50 Greatest Movie Animals" (8 p.m., Animal Planet) represents quite a diverse bunch, and some have been out of the spotlight for quite some time. By this time tomorrow, the wait for the next "best picture" winner will have begun. In the meantime, Oscar handicappers can compare and contrast while watching "Chicago" (9 p.m., Starz), last year's winner. "Chicago" also won for best supporting actress (Catherine Zeta-Jones), art direction, costume design, editing and sound.
Or, for something completely different, check out "Elling" (9 p.m., Sundance), a subtitled Norwegian comedy that was an Oscar nominee in the foreign-film category for 2001. Per Christian Ellefsen and Sven Nordin play an odd couple of misfits trying to come to grips with the world outside their Oslo apartment.
The new drama "Trust" (10 p.m. BBC America) focuses on the back-stabbing in the world of lawyers. What? When did this kind behavior start happening in our legal system?
Opinionated newsman Bill O'Reilly pops up as a guest on "Mad TV" (11 p.m. Fox).
