EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Patrik Elias scored two goals and New Jersey held Calgary without a shot while killing off a five-minute penalty. Scott Gomez assisted on both goals, giving him 10 assists in six games, and Martin Brodeur had 18 saves as the Devils won for the fourth time in six games (4-1-1). Turner Stevenson added an empty-net goal with 13.7 seconds remaining. Chuck Kobasew scored a power-play goal for the Flames, whose three-game losing streak matches its season high.
Stars 4, Mighty Ducks 0
DALLAS -- Jere Lehtinen and Pierre Turgeon scored power-play goals and Marty Turco stopped 14 shots for his 18th career shutout to lead Dallas. Mike Modano and Brenden Morrow added goals for the Stars, who extended their season-best, home-unbeaten streak to eight games (6-0-2) and are 11-3-2 overall in their last 16.
Blackhawks 3, Blues 2, OT
CHICAGO -- Stephane Robidas scored with 19.5 seconds remaining in overtime. Kyle Calder's power-play goal with 1:28 remaining in regulation got the Blackhawks into overtime. Eric Weinrich scored on a 45-foot shot with 2:54 remaining in the third to give the Blues a 2-1 lead. Mark Bell also scored for the Blackhawks, who got 28 saves from Craig Anderson and snapped a two-game losing streak. Keith Tkachuk had the other Blues goal but it wasn't enough to keep St. Louis from dropping its second straight. Chris Osgood made 27 saves.
Avalanche 3, Wild 1
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Milan Hejduk scored his team-leading 27th goal, and Joe Sakic and Paul Kariya also scored as Colorado made the most of a season-low 14 shots. The Avalanche scored once in each period despite not having more than five shots in any frame and snapped their losing streak at three games. Minnesota, which scored 10 goals it its previous two games, generated more scoring chances throughout, but went 0-for-5 on the power play. Marc Chouinard scored for the third time in two games for Minnesota.
