WARREN -- Dying to have some fun?
The Rotary Club of Warren will hold its fourth annual murder-mystery theater March 5 at Leo's Ristorante in Howland at 7 p.m.
This year's mystery comes in the form of a Rotarian of the Year Roast. There's just one problem -- the guest of honor is missing. Is he dead, or just avoiding the humiliation?
Tickets are $30 per person, or $275 for a table of 10, and can be bought by calling Stephanie Shaw at (330) 841-1223 by Monday.
Local group will playfor Tom Pope's show
Youngstown-based Christian funk band Soundoctrine will provide entertainment for the broadcast of Tom Pope's nationally syndicated radio talk show when it comes to Youngstown on Friday. The show will be broadcast live from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and can be heard locally on WRBP-FM 101.9 and WGFT-AM 1500. Friday's show will be broadcast from Buckeye Elks Lodge No. 73, 421 North Ave.
Soundoctrine will perform before the start of the broadcast and will provide bumper music throughout the show.
Spouse duo to give concert
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- American folk music and East African traditional music combine in one concert when husband-and-wife duo Kelly Armor and Dave Sturtevant perform Wednesday at Wilmington College. The free show will be at 4 p.m. in the McKelvey Campus Center student lounge.
The couple writes and performs folk music from East Africa and Appalachia inspired by folk traditions, classical music, bluegrass, rock 'n' roll and jazz.
Armor lived in East Africa with native families for several years, collecting songs, stories and instruments. Sturtevant learned to play the fiddle Appalachian-style from his father.
