BASKETBALL Niles bounces Mineral Ridge

NILES -- Kevin Robertson and Dan Jones teamed up to score 44 points Saturday as the Niles High boys basketball team defeated Mineral Ridge, 76-55.
Robertson led Niles (8-11) with 23 points while Jones scored 21 and Bill Frech 13.
Vance Kersey and Jason Garland led the Rams (8-12) with 17 and 12 points, respectively.

NORTH JACKSON -- Tim Shaw scored 25 points to lead the Bluejays (9-9), who outscored the Wildcats 25-20 in the fourth quarter.
Shaw has 1,033 career points after surpassing 1,000 in Friday's game at Lowellville.
Mark Balent and Zack Nicholas contributed 17 and 12 points, respectively.
David Motz led Southington with 34 points. Kevin Swiger netted 13.
