ALLIANCE Meeting set for 61st District

ALLIANCE -- Several Democratic members of the Ohio House will participate in a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. March 4 at the Alliance YMCA on East Market Street for constituents of state Rep. John Boccieri of New Middletown, D-61st.
Boccieri, who is running for re-election, is an Air Force Reserve captain and C-130 pilot recently called up to active duty and is serving in Iraq.
The meeting will allow Boccieri's constituents an opportunity to ask questions or express concerns about issues.
The 61st District includes portions of Mahoning, Stark and Tuscarawas counties and all of Carroll County.
Among those scheduled to appear include House Democratic Leader Chris Redfern, Assistant Minority Leader Joyce Beatty, as well as the other members of the Ohio House Democratic leadership and ranking Democrats on several House committees.
Also, AMVETS of Ohio, a veterans organization, was to honor Boccieri today as its legislator of the year. Boccieri's wife, Stacey, was to accept the award in Columbus.
