YSU suffered an 81-61 loss to Wright State on Thursday night, a key Horizon League loss that will keep the team in seventh place in the standings and put them on the road in the league's tournament opener. Bowling Green is coming off a 69-52 victory over Northern Illinois and has won two of its last three games. The two teams have three common opponents this year as the Falcons and Penguins lost to Toledo and Buffalo, while Bowling Green defeated Detroit 56-52 and the Penguins were soundly beaten by the Titans.
Series: This is only the third meeting between the teams, with the Falcons winning both games. They defeated the Penguins 65-45 in their last meeting in 1991 and also won in 1988, 74-68. Both games were played at Beeghly Center.
