NBA ROUNDUP Friday's other games

Pacers 96, Wizards 87
WASHINGTON -- Reggie Miller scored 11 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter, and Jamaal Tinsley hit two 3-pointers in the final 1:10 to give the Indiana Pacers a victory over the Washington Wizards. The Pacers blew an 18-point lead in the first half and trailed by eight early in the fourth, but Miller scored Indiana's next seven points to start the comeback. Tinsley's layup in transition put the Pacers back in front with 2:53 to play, and the second of his 3-pointers was a bank shot that sealed the game with 37 seconds remaining.
Magic 102, Nuggets 98
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Juwan Howard had 24 points and Drew Gooden added 16 points and 12 rebounds to help the Orlando Magic overcome Tracy McGrady's ejection and beat the Denver Nuggets. McGrady was ejected for twice kicking the basketball into the stands at the end of the first half. He was upset there was no foul call on his buzzer-beating layup. On a night when he reached 10,000 career points, McGrady finished with 15 points -- his fewest since going scoreless on Dec. 19, when he hurt his back in the first quarter.
Nets 91, Raptors 72
TORONTO -- Jason Kidd tied a season-high with 15 assists and Richard Jefferson had 20 points to help the New Jersey Nets set a franchise-record with their 12th straight victory, over the Toronto Raptors. New Jersey coach Lawrence Frank improved to 11-0. Frank set an NBA record for the best start to a coaching career by winning his 10th consecutive game on Wednesday. Kerry Kittles added 19 points for the Nets, whose previous longest streak came Dec. 23, 1982, through Jan. 12, 1983.
Jazz 92, Knicks 78
NEW YORK -- Stephon Marbury did not have a happy 27th birthday, getting booed at Madison Square Garden. Facing a Utah Jazz team that exposed their new weakness, the New York Knicks played one of their worst games of the Isiah Thomas era. Andrei Kirilenko scored 23 points, Sasha Pavlovic moved into the vacated starting shooting guard spot and scored 16, and the Jazz opened a big early lead and were never threatened in the second half. Marbury scored 21 and Tim Thomas scored 17 points.
Kings 91, Bulls 83
CHICAGO -- Peja Stojakovic scored 24 points, and Vlade Divac had 11 assists and 11 rebounds to lead the depleted Sacramento Kings past the Chicago Bulls. Their bench already thinned by an injury to Brad Miller and the suspension of Chris Webber, the Kings lost top reserve guard Bobby Jackson late in the first half with an abdominal strain. Jackson was hurt after being hit by Marcus Fizer while driving to the basket with just under four minutes left in the first half.
Grizzlies 97, Suns 92
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Pau Gasol had 17 points, 10 rebounds and eight blocked shots, and the Memphis Grizzlies handed the Phoenix Suns their seventh straight loss. James Posey had a team-high 18 points for the Grizzlies, who won their third consecutive game and fifth in a row at home. Memphis has 21 wins at home this season, a franchise record. Memphis' Stromile Swift scored 17 points, and Jason Williams and Bonzi Wells each had 11.
Timberwolves 88, Pistons 87
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Rasheed Wallace was barely allowed to break a sweat in his debut with the Detroit Pistons. After Wallace played 12 minutes in the first half, the NBA ruled he could not play because of a paperwork issue. Minus their newly acquired big man, the Pistons lost to Minnesota. Kevin Garnett had 25 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Timberwolves to their fifth straight victory. Detroit has lost seven of eight.
Heat 125, Hawks 92
MIAMI -- Eddie Jones scored 24 points and Dwyane Wade added 22, and the Miami Heat built their biggest first-half lead in team history en route to victory over the undermanned Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks dressed nine players, then lost swingman Wesley Person after one quarter with a sprained right knee.
