Achievers association sets induction ceremony



The 19th annual Hall of Fame induction event honors African-Americans.
WARREN -- Trumbull African-American Achievers Association will hold its 19th annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony starting at 6 p.m. Saturday at DiVieste Banquet Hall, 754 N. River Road.
Outstanding African-Americans from Trumbull County will be honored. This year's inductees are Aaron "Chunky" Brown, India Carson, the Rev. David Herron, Morris Hill, Willie Joe Jackson, Todd Leverett, Jeanetta Martin and James "Doc" Pugh.
The keynote speaker will be state Rep. Sylvester D. Patton Jr.
"Our annual event recognizes outstanding home-grown individuals who are making a difference, said Robert Davis Jr., association president. "This is the perfect way to close Black History Month and leave a positive, lasting mark in our community."
