REGION Panera plans activities for Women's Heart Day

Panera Bread has cafes in Warren, Boardman and Hermitage.
Panera Bread invites all women to come and celebrate National Women's Heart Day on Friday at its three area cafes.
The company will be kicking off National Women's Heart Day with these festivities: free blood pressure screenings from 10 a.m. to noon; free hand massages from noon to 2 p.m.; free heart cookie with purchase to all female customers; free educational information from the American Heart Association; and participants can enter to win free spa packages. There also will be free in-store giveaways.
National Women's Heart Day was established by the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services to increase awareness about women's heart disease and to encourage heart-healthy lifestyles among women.
Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women in the United States.
"We organized this event to reach out to our customers and increase their awareness about heart disease. By combining a day of pampering with heart-healthy information, we hope that we can help make a difference in someone's life," said Vikki Kaiser, director of marketing and public relations for Panera Bread.
Locations
The Friday celebration will be at Panera Bread bakery/cafes located at 3641 Elm Road N.E., Warren; 377 Boardman-Poland Road, Shops at Boardman Park; and 2390 E. State St., Hermitage, Pa.
