BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Roberto Luongo stopped 41 shots, allowing Florida to rally for a tie. Eric Boulton snapped a 54-game scoring slump, scoring for Buffalo, which had a four-game winning streak end. Luongo, fourth in the NHL with a 93.1 save percentage, was particularly sharp in the second period when he stopped all 22 shots.
Red Wings 5, Coyotes 2
DETROIT -- Brett Hull tied Dave Andreychuk's NHL record with his 263rd career power-play goal and Kris Draper scored twice to lead Detroit. Phoenix's Chris Gratton had a goal, then Detroit's Mathieu Schneider scored before Fredrik Sjostrom got the Coyotes within 3-2. Draper gave Detroit another two-goal cushion with 1:50 remaining and added an empty-net score a minute later for his 23rd goal of the season.
Predators 7, Sharks 3
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Steve Sullivan made the most of his Nashville debut with three power-play goals and an assist, and Marek Zidlicky set a Predators record with five assists. Sullivan was traded to the Predators by Chicago Monday night. Kimmo Timonen added two goals, one on the power play, and an assist, and Scott Walker had a power-play goal and three assists. Patrick Marleau, Nils Ekman and Scott Thornton scored for San Jose.
Oilers 5, Avalanche 1
DENVER -- Ryan Smyth had a goal and two assists, and Shawn Horcoff added a goal and assist for Edmonton. Igor Ulanov, Steve Staios and Jason Smith also scored in a three-goal second period for the Oilers. Tommy Salo stopped 14 shots. Brett Clark ruined Salo's bid for his 38th career shutout by scoring in the last 30 seconds.
Stars 4, Kings 3
LOS ANGELES -- Mike Modano scored twice for his first multi-goal game of the season and Dan Ellis made 25 saves in his NHL debut. Jere Lehtinen and Brenden Morrow also scored for the Stars. Luc Robitaille, Derek Armstrong and Sean Avery scored for the Kings. Ellis saw his first action since being recalled from Utah of the AHL on Feb. 9, snapping a streak of 31 consecutive starts by Marty Turco. Luc Robitaille, Derek Armstrong and Sean Avery scored for the Kings, winless in five games.
