YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown State University business students are offering tax help as part of the Internal Revenue Service's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.
The program offers free income-tax preparation, mostly geared toward students, the elderly and middle- to low-income residents.
Services will be available in Williamson Hall from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Feb. 28; 4 to 7 p.m. March 5; and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 27 and April 10. In addition, sessions will be held from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. March 8 at the North Library on Fifth Avenue; 4 to 7 p.m. March 8 at the Main Library at Wick and Rayen avenues; and 1 to 4 p.m. March 11 at the South Library on Market Street.

Presentation on Haiti
VILLA MARIA, Pa. -- The public is invited to hear Canadian author Peter Eyvindson, with Haitian Soni Derazin, as they present a 45-minute program combining music, dance, storytelling and factual information about Haiti and the children of Haiti at 1 p.m. Saturday at Villa Maria Community Center and again after the 4:30 p.m. Mass at St. Michael Parish in Canfield.
Eyvindson will have available copies of his picture book "Soni's Mended Wings." In addition, a book of prayers of the children of Haiti, "A Gathering of Angels," will also be available. Money collected will be used to support Wings of Hope Home for Disabled Children in Haiti.
Although there is no fee for the program, a donation will be requested.
