Man faces multiple charges in Pine Township burglary



GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Pennsylvania State Police arrested a Terrace Avenue man shortly after he was accused of breaking into a Pine Township home.
Jerome P. West, 22, was charged with burglary, theft, criminal mischief and criminal trespass.
He was arrested shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday by borough police and turned over to state troopers.
Police said West is accused of breaking a window in a door of a home on Barkeyville Road in Pine Township just outside the borough.
He took a Sony PlayStation 2 and several games, police said. He also attempted to take items from a car in the area but was interrupted, police said.
West then ran to several other residences and tried to get inside but failed, police said. A resident of the area who witnessed his behavior approached him, and police said West ran across Pa. Route 208 and into the borough with the resident in pursuit.
Grove City police were called to the scene and caught West.
He was arraigned before District Justice William Fagley and remained in Mercer County Jail today in lieu of $20,000 bond.
