BINGO PARTIES
XO-My-O Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will celebrate Leap Year with a bingo party beginning at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 29 at Boardman Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, Youngstown. Cost is $5 and includes one bingo card and refreshments. Additional cards are $1 each. A special theme basket will be awarded for each game, and there will also be a 50-50 raffle. XUnited Methodist Women of Cortland United Methodist Church, 155 N. High St., will hold a used book sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church.
CELEBRATIONS
XLawrence County St. David's Day Committee will sponsor a St. David's Day songfest and dinner Feb. 28 at Third Presbyterian Church, 1315 E. Washington St., New Castle, Pa. A reception will begin at 3 p.m. followed by a musical prelude at 3:30, gymanfa ganu at 4 and dinner at 5. Special musical guests will include Welsh native Geraint Wilkes along with Megan Morris, Bethany and Jessica Shearer, and Menna Elfyn. Accompanists will be Lois Hopkins and Raymond Ocock. No reservations are needed for the songfest, however, prepaid reservations are required by Feb. 23 for the prime rib dinner. XSt. David's Society of Youngstown will hold its 113th St. David's Day banquet Feb. 28 at Western Reserve United Methodist Church. FUND-RAISERS
XA Night at the Races and Touch of Vegas is planned Saturday at St. Nicholas Parish Center, 762 Fifth St., Struthers. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and races start at 7. HEALTH FAIRS
XPoland Junior Women's Club will sponsor a Women's Health Fair Thursday at Poland Presbyterian Church, 2 Poland Manor. The event will run from 5 to 8 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, and will include bone-density screenings and behavioral health information provided by St. Elizabeth Health Center representatives, as well as information on massotherapy, Pilates/yoga and cholesterol. Mary Kay cosmetics also will be featured as well as information from Hospice of the Valley.

TRIPS
XNiles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild will sponsor a bus trip March 19 to the Original Sewing and Quilt Expo at the IX Center in Cleveland. Pickup locations and times will be at 7 p.m. at the Austintown Wal-Mart, 7:20 a.m. at Super Kmart in Niles and 7:30 a.m. at Big Lots in Champion. Riding the bus will save attendees $5 off general admission. Those attending are to make their own expo reservations. Price for members is $20 and for nonmembers, $25 (does not include admission or classes) if paid by Friday. Reservations paid after Friday will be $5 more. Cyril & amp; Methodius Church, 185 Laird Ave. N.E., Warren, will sponsor a bus trip to Cincinnati on March 24-25 to see the Vatican display along with a tour of the Bible Museum and the Cathedral Basilicas of the Assumption (a replica of the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris). Departure will be at 7:30 a.m. March 24 with return set for 9:30 p.m. March 25. Also featured will be attendance at a comedy production of "Nunsense."
