YOUNGSTOWN -- Jason Hall, director of the National Guard Educational Foundation, will speak on "Interpreting American Military History" at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Jones Room of Kilcawley Center at Youngstown State University. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the YSU College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Lecture Series.
The National Guard Educational Foundation includes the National Guard Memorial Museum.
Hall's past experiences include being curator for the Airmen Memorial Museum and working or volunteering at Manassas Museum, Lamson Library at Plymouth State College, Lowell National Historical Park, Manassas National Battlefield Park, Springfield Armory National Historic Site, San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park and Wright Museum in Wolfeboro, N.H.

Medical aids recyling
HERMITAGE, Pa. -- The Medical Equipment Recycling Program will hold an equipment drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 6 at Shenango Valley Mall.
Walkers, wheelchairs, bath chairs and tub benches, bedside commodes, canes, crutches, reachers and other stroke aides, lift chairs, commode raisers and transfer boards will be accepted.
To donate, take items to the mall during the designated time. If some items are too large, pickup arrangements will bemade.
The mission of MERP, funded by grants from the UPMC Horizon Foundation and Grove City United Way, is to assist local residents in obtaining the medical equipment. MERP provides refurbished medical equipment to people who do not have insurance or who can't afford to buy new medical equipment.
