RAY SWANSON | Keystoner Kennedy's Mastrian nets 1,000th point; Gibbs hailed
Scoring more than 1,000 points in a scholastic basketball career is a plateau few have reached.
Sharpshooting Kennedy Catholic High senior Leah Mastrian reached that coveted milestone recently when she poured in 25 points in leading the Golden Eagles to a one-sided 57-22 decision over the Lady M's of Mercer High.
The Golden Eagles, ranked by the Harrisburg Patriot News in its statewide pool, are a Class A entry.
Only three other members of the Golden Eagles have hurdled the 1,000-point barrier in career scoring: Jamie Cicuto (1,541), Andrea Fridley (1,454) and Monica Grexa (1,129). Congratulations, Leah.

He defeated Gus Mancini of RIT at 174 pounds in 1:09, the scored 165-pound wins over Richie Minner of Muskingum (1:15) and Nick Detwiler of Division III Kutztown.
