YSU Metro College, KSU Trumbull offer emergency preparedness class
Two emergency preparedness training workshops will be offered at Youngstown State Metro College in Boardman and the Kent State University Trumbull Campus in Champion.
The COBRA (Chemical, Ordnance, Biological, Radiological) Weapons of Mass Destruction Response Training-Awareness workshop is scheduled for Feb. 24 at KSU Trumbull, and Feb. 26 at YSU Metro College. Registration fee is $50 per person.
The four-hour Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings-Awareness workshop is offered April 6 at KSU Trumbull, and April 8 at YSU Metro College.
The training, for first responders, security officers, private security firms, local businesses, industry, schools and government agencies, is offered through the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium.
The programs have been formed by the Youngstown-Mahoning County Disaster Services & amp; Emergency Management Agency, the Trumbull County Office of Homeland Security & amp; Emergency Management, the YSU Metro College and the KSU Trumbull Workforce Development and Continuing Studies.
Registration fee for either workshop is $50 per person.
