EVENT Sojourner House to sponsor seminar
A variety of sessions and pampering activities will be available.
LIBERTY TOWNSHIP -- Sojourner House will sponsor a day of pampering and education for women.
"WWW.SojournerHouse.com," (Women's Wellness and Wisdom) will be held Feb. 21 at the Youngstown Country Club, 1402 Country Club Drive. The event will be set up like a seminar in which participants may attend a variety of sessions aimed at improving their lives.
Those attending will have the opportunity to choose from 14 different topics in addition to a spa that will feature massages, hand treatments and makeup applications.
The schedule
Registration and breakfast will begin from 8:30 to 9 a.m., followed by welcoming remarks. Session I will begin at 9:25 and run until 10:10, with the second session set for 10:20 to 11:05.
Lunch is planned for 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. along with the guest speaker, Angie Hollerich, author of "The Weight and Wealth Factors" and other books about finance. She will discuss parallel factors for weight management and wealth accumulation. All participants will receive a copy of the book.
Guests also will have the opportunity to participate in a wine taste, view exhibits, take advantage of some free health screenings, purchase tickets for a Chinese auction or visit with each other until 1:20 p.m.
Session III will convene from 1:30 to 2:15, with Session IV concluding the event from 2:25 to 3:10. All participants also will receive at canvas tote bag with gifts at the end of the day.

The organization
Sojourner House is a safe, confidentially located place for women and their children to stay while they are trying to escape an abusive environment. In addition to offering food and shelter, the facility gives women an opportunity to initiate solutions to the problems they are experiencing and make positive changes in their lives.
