Kristen L. Shaffer is bride-elect of Adam J. Piccirillo

XNEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The engagement of Kristen Leigh Shaffer and Adam Jeffrey Piccirillo is being announced by their parents.
The bride-elect is the daughter of George and Barbara Shaffer, 200 High St. Parents of the prospective groom are Carmen and Lynell Piccirillo, 307 River Run Lane.
Miss Shaffer earned an associate degree in photojournalism at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and a bachelor's in communication at Slippery Rock University. She is a photographer for Moroco Photography in Sharon, Pa., and a free-lance photojournalist. She also works in the administration office of the Borough of New Wilmington.
Mr. Piccirillo graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in general business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wis. He is employed as an intake coordinator by Dallas W. Hartman P.C. in New Castle, Pa. Beginning March 1 he will attend Mercyhurst College Municipal Police Training Academy in Erie, Pa., to receive Act 120 certification in law enforcement.
The couple are planning to be married in September 2005.
