STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Bracey Wright scored 25 points to lead Indiana to a 75-56 victory over Penn State on Wednesday night.
Wright was 4-of-7 from 3-point range and had four assists. Marshall Strickland added 15 points and George Leach had seven rebounds for Indiana (12-9, 6-4 Big Ten).
Reserve Aaron Johnson had career-highs of 28 points and 15 rebounds for Penn State (9-11, 3-6). His point total matched the rest of the team and the double-double was his second in as many games.
Minnesota 81, Michigan 78
MINNEAPOLIS -- Kris Humphries had 20 points and 10 rebounds and Ben Johnson also scored 20 points as Minnesota snapped an eight-game losing streak.
Jeff Hagen had 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Gophers and Adam Boone added 11 points.
Lester Abram and Daniel Horton each had 15 points for the Wolverines (13-7, 4-5).
Bernard Robinson had 14 before fouling out with 5:58 to play.
Wisconsin 54, Iowa 52
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Devin Harris scored 16 points and No. 17 Wisconsin survived a late rally by Iowa to hold on to first place in the Big Ten.
Clayton Hanson added 12 points for Wisconsin (16-4, 7-2 Big Ten), all on 3-pointers, and Mike Wilkinson had 12 points and nine rebounds.
Pierre Pierce led Iowa (12-9, 5-5) with 20 points, while Greg Brunner had 10 points and 13 rebounds.
Northwestern 40, Purdue 39
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Northwestern used a stingy matchup zone defense and timely shooting down the stretch to earn its second straight upset win.
Evan Seacat scored nine points to lead Northwestern (10-11, 5-5 Big Ten), which was coming off a 69-51 victory over Wisconsin.
Kenneth Lowe returned after missing three games with a sprained left elbow.
Purdue's (15-8, 5-5) emotional and scoring leader played with a bulky black brace on his arm, but still scored 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting.
The Wildcats held Purdue to a season low in points (39) and just 34 percent shooting.
