ODOT to begin workon bridges on I-680
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Ohio Department of Transportation plans to rehabilitate several bridges on Interstate 680 in Mahoning County starting this spring.
The $11 million project will include improvements to bridges in the city over Steel Street, Gibson Street, Indianola Avenue and Shirley Road.
In Boardman, bridges over Thalia Avenue, Walker Mill Road and the twin bridges over Calla Road will be improved.
A lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction during the project. A variety of closures will be made on the intersecting roads involved, but none will be closed for more than 60 days. The project is to be finished in the winter of 2006.
