HUMANE SOCIETY Pet care tips

The Salem Humane Society is using classroom presentations to teach youngsters about proper pet treatment. The agency's advice includes:
Make sure your pet always wears identification.
Outside animals should always have fresh straw bedding, shelter and water.
Spay or neuter your pet.
Vaccinate for rabies.
Groom and exercise your pet regularly.
Consider adopting your next pet from an animal shelter.
