MIAMI -- Stephon Marbury scored all 16 of his points in the first half and New York extended its winning streak to four games. Miami's point total was its lowest of the season, and the Heat scored just 10 points in the fourth quarter. They went 6:11 without a field goal. Lamar Odom had 18 points and 14 rebounds to pace the Heat.
Rockets 86, Hawks 77
ATLANTA -- Cuttino Mobley scored 13 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter and Houston overcame a 14-point deficit. Steve Francis had 24 points, and Jim Jackson added 18 to help Houston extend its winning streak to three games. Yao Ming scored only seven points. Shareef Abdur-Rahim had 20 points for the Hawks and Stephen Jackson had 16.
Celtics 110, 76ers 80
PHILADELPHIA -- Paul Pierce scored 35 points, helping Boston snap a six-game losing streak and give interim coach John Carroll his first victory. Ricky Davis had 20 points and Walter McCarty added 16 for Boston, which hadn't won since Jan. 23 against Washington. Carroll, who took over Jan. 27 when Jim O'Brien resigned, had lost his first five games. Glenn Robinson scored 19 points, and Allen Iverson had 15 for the Sixers, who have lost 10 of 13.
Mavericks 111, Pistons 108
DALLAS -- Dirk Nowitzki scored 40 points, nine in the final 6:40, as Dallas rallied to beat Detroit. Steve Nash added 29 points, 11 assists and hit six straight free throws in the final 18.5 seconds to help the Mavericks win for the 12th time in their last 14 games. Chauncey Billups scored 17 points, and Richard Hamilton had 16 for the Pistons.
Bucks 107, Hornets 97
MILWAUKEE -- Michael Redd scored 25 points to help Milwaukee beat New Orleans and avenge a one-point road loss to the Hornets last month. Brian Skinner added 17 points for the Bucks, who never trailed and led by as many as 26 in improving to an Eastern Conference-best 20-5 at home.
Jazz 96, Suns 92
PHOENIX -- Carlos Arroyo sank a 3-pointer with 35.2 seconds to play and Utah snapped a four-game losing streak and finally give coach Jerry Sloan his 900th victory. Amare Stoudemire tied a Suns' record with 10 blocked shots, six in the first quarter, and scored 20 points but Phoenix lost for the ninth time in 11 games. Sloan, in his 16th season with the Jazz, is the eighth NBA coach to achieve 900 victories. Andrei Kirilenko had 21 points for the Jazz.
