HORIZON CSU still has no answers for Detroit



Cleveland State was drilled, 77-55, while Wright State gave a better account of itself.

DETROIT -- James Thues scored 16 points and had six assists Saturday to lead Detroit past Cleveland State 77-55 Saturday in the Horizon League.
Thues came off the bench to hit all six of his field goal attempts, including two 3-pointers. Torvoris Baker and Willie Wallace added 15 and 12 points, respectively, for the Titans (11-10, 5-6 HL). Jermaine Robinson scored 19 points for the Vikings (4-19, 0-12), who extended their school-record losing streak to 17.
Wis.-Milwaukee 72, Wright St. 66
MILWAUKEE -- Joah Tucker scored 17 points and Ed McCants added 15 to lead Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Leading scorer Dylan Page, hampered by a sprained left ankle, scored just 10 points, 11 under his average, for the Panthers (16-6, 11-1 HL).
Drew Burleson led Wright State (12-10, 9-3) with 14 points and Seth Doliboa added 13.
Nate Mielke scored with six minutes left to put the Panthers up 60-58 and Tucker added a basket and two free throws for a 64-58 Milwaukee lead with 4:04 remaining. Tucker made three free throws in the last 17.6 seconds to secure the victory.
Butler 74, Loyola 67, OT
CHICAGO -- Bruce Horan had a career-high 22 points and led a second-half barrage of 3-point shooting for Butler. Horan hit 6-of-12 3-point attempts, and the Bulldogs were 11-of-26 from behind the arc.
Duane Lightfoot had 14 points for Butler and Mike Monserez was also in double figures with 10. Paul McMillan led Loyola with 15, while Demetrius Williams added 14.
Loyola (7-15, 3-9 HL) scored the final seven points of the first half to take a 29-22 lead at intermission, but Horan drilled back-to-back 3-pointers to open the second half. Butler (11-10, 5-6) hit eight 3-point shots in the second half.
