Dantonio adds coaches
Pat Narduzzi, the son of former Youngstown State football coach Bill Narduzzi and an Ursuline High graduate, has been named defensive coordinator at Cincinnati by new coach Mark Dantonio. Narduzzi was defensive coordinator at Miami (Ohio) last season. The RedHawks finished No. 10 in the country, won the Mid-American Conference championship. Also named were Mike Tressel, a nephew of Ohio State coach Jim Tressel, Mark Staten and Jeff Uhlenhake. All three were graduate assistants at Ohio State last season. Don Treadwell, a former Youngstown State assistant who was at Ball State last season, was named offensive coordinator; Harlon Barnett was named defensive backs coach, Dan Enos as quarterbacks coach, and Tim Hinton as running backs coach.
Phantoms in third
After winning three out of four games against the Springfield Junior Blues the past two weekends, the Youngstown Phantoms has moved into third place in the North American Hockey League's North Division. The Phantoms play host to Toledo this weekend. C5.
