Yo-Mah-O plans scholarship dinner
The association's president will travel from West Virginia to attend.
BOARDMAN -- Yo-Mah-O Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals will hold its fifth annual scholarship fund-raising reverse raffle and dinner March 7 at Mr. Anthony's.
With a theme of "On Broadway," the event will begin with a social hour at 4 p.m. followed by dinner at 5. Entree choices are sirloin steak or stuffed chicken breast.
Special guest at the event will be Shelia Brownfield, 2003-04 president of the IAAP board of directors and an association member since 1985. She was chosen Secretary of the Year in 1988 by her chapter in Charleston, W.Va., was awarded the Certificate of Achievement in 1994 and was chosen Professional Member of the Year in 2001.
Reverse raffle tickets are $100 and include one dinner. Additional guest dinner tickets are $25. Only 100 tickets will be sold. In addition to the cash prizes, there will be a Chinese auction, 50-50 raffle and a mini-board game. Proceeds will benefit the chapter's scholarship fund for students preparing for the business field.
In charge of the event are Milissa Ferraro and her committee, Sherry Lewis, Joyce Laska, Patricia Vallas, Loretta Moore, Andrea McConnaughy, Tracy Goad and Patricia Roberts.
