BOOK SALES
XFriends of the East Palestine Memorial Public Library, 309 N. Market St., are planning a book sale at the library from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 20 and 21.
CARDS/BINGO
XSt. Matthias Infant Jesus of Prague Guild will hold a card and bingo party at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Father Snock Center, 2800 Shady Run Road. Tickets are $5 and are available from any member or at the door. There will be prizes and refreshments.
CRAFT SHOWS
XSalem Memorial Building Association will sponsor an arts and crafts bazaar March 19 and 20 at the Salem Memorial Building, 785 E. State St. Table rentals are available at $25 for both days for an 8-by-5-foot space. One donated item per crafter is also required for the Chinese auction. For information call (330) 332-5512.
FESTIVALS
XHungarian Presbyterian Church, 755 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, will hold a Winter Festival from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 22. Reservations for the chicken paprikash dinner must be made by Feb. 17. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children. Carryout will be available, and patrons may take their own container or purchase one for 50 cents. There also will be a bake sale and a basket raffle. MARDI GRAS
XSacred Heart Church will hold a Mardi Gras event from 6:30 to 11:30 p.m. Feb. 21 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Hall, 343 Via Mount Carmel. The cost is $30 and includes a buffet dinner, cash bar, entertainment, a $1,000 raffle and prizes. XSt. James Church, state Route 422, New Bedford, Pa., will hold a Mardi Gras celebration from 5 to 9 p.m. Feb. 21. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at the church office.
