LIMELIGHT Awards, achievements
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Mahoning County chapter has announced the election of its new board for 2004. Members and their titles are as follows: William E. Davis Jr. of Austintown, president; Charles F. Burkey of Poland, vice president; Jeannette L. Shorthouse of Boardman, records director; Charles A. Gilbert of Poland, financial director; and Vincent M. Tesner of Berlin Center, congregational service team director.
Members also elected: Cheryl M. Lewis of Warren, communications director; Robert "Sonny" Schneider, New Springfield, community service team director; Eboni C. Bogan of Youngstown, youth director; and Cynthia Johnson of Poland, events director.
YOUNGSTOWN -- The board of trustees for the Youngstown YMCA has added two new board members, Anthony Lariccia and Philip Kocon, both of Boardman.
Lariccia is a Youngstown native and graduate of Struthers High School, and he has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Youngstown State University. He is a vice president at Merrill Lynch.
Kocon has a bachelor's degree in accounting and business from Grove City College and is a principal in the Youngstown office of Hill, Barth & amp; King, a certified public accounting and consulting firm.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Vector Security was named 2003 Dealer Of The Year by Security Distributing & amp; Marketing Magazine. Awarded each December, this award recognizes an electronic security company for overall performance in seven business categories. Based in Philadelphia, the company's Youngstown office is one of 24 in the eastern United States.
AUSTINTOWN -- InfoCision Management Corp. has earned the teleservices industry's highest honor for call-center quality, the MVP Quality Award, the 11th consecutive year the company has won the recognition. The company has local centers in Austintown, Boardman and New Castle.
Presented by Customer Inter@ction Solutions magazine, the award recognized InfoCision's work with Catholic Relief Services. Its program raised funds for the people of Afghanistan were devastated by a series of severe earthquakes that killed thousands and left tens of thousands homeless. InfoCision's campaign achieved a 2:1 return on investment for Catholic Relief Services while reactivating thousands of their lapsed donors.
