Doggedly determined to recover

Mo, an American Staffordshire terrier, is back to work visiting patients at St. Elizabeth Health Center's rehabilitation unit. Byron Larson of Lisbon, left, says hello to Mo, who is owned by Dar Helmuth of Warren, at right. Larson and Mo share a closer bond. Both are recovering from knee surgery. Mo is a member of the K-9's for Compassion patient visitation group. The terrier had made regular visits to the rehab unit before his injury. Mo will continue working his human buddies, which will help him strengthen his own knee muscles.
