AUSTINTOWN Cops say woman apparently died of a heart attack
AUSTINTOWN -- A woman apparently died of a heart attack after a domestic argument, according to police. The Mahoning County Coroner's Office has yet to issue a ruling.
Elinore Hubbard, 65, of 460 S. Raccoon Road, Apt. C-1, was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center where she died Saturday.
No charges have been filed in her death.
Her son, Mark E. Hubbard, 36, of Griffith Street, Youngstown, was charged with assaulting his sister, Cherilyn Chandler, 40, and her 12-year-old daughter, both of the Raccoon Road address.
Police said that Hubbard had been staying at the apartment but that his mother told him Saturday morning to get out.
Chandler said that just before 5 p.m. Saturday, her brother threatened her and she grabbed a knife. She said he disarmed her, knocked her down and beat her. She also said he pushed his mother onto a table and struck Chandler's daughter.
Chandler said she and her daughter then pushed Hubbard out of the apartment and found her mother had collapsed.
Hubbard told police that his sister came at him with a knife, the child hit him with an object, and that his mother was also involved, though he did not give specifics. He was walking away when police arrived.
Hubbard told police his mother had recently been taken to the hospital after a fall.
