XCAMPBELL -- The Rev. Michael Swierz officiated at 5 p.m. Jan. 2 at St. Joseph the Provider Church for the marriage of Stacey L. Slater and Michael A. Durkin, both of 130 Mill Run Drive, Youngstown.
A reception took place at St. Mark Center, Youngstown.
The bride is a daughter of Donald L. Slater, 8205 Blue Heron Drive, Canfield, and the late Carol Joan Slater. The groom is a son of the late Thomas and Delores Durkin.
Pearls, lace and sequins adorned the bride's ivory, strapless gown featuring a chapel-length train.
Honor attendants were Kirsten Price and Therese Mozzy. Bridesmaids were Andrea Dominick, Jill Durkin, Jo Ann Slater, Robin Smith and Cheryl Stronczer. They wore black dresses. Flower girls were Olivia and Faith Slater and Colleen Durkin.
Best men were Matthew and Tim Durkin. Groomsmen were John O'Neill; Duke, Keith and Kory Slater; and Jeff Stewart. Timothy and Jonathan Durkin were ring bearers.
Also participating were Joannie and Jacob Perez and Kris Slater.
Mrs. Durkin graduated from Mount Union College, Alliance, with a bachelor's degree in psychology and from Youngstown State University with a master's in counseling. She is a behavior specialist consultant with Sharon Regional Health System, Hermitage, Pa.
Mr. Durkin is the fire chief with Liberty Fire Department.
They honeymooned at Puna Cana, Dominican Republic.
