Author, attorneyto speak in Canton
CANTON -- The Greater Canton Writers' Guild will hear from a blind attorney who has been writing since high school and has published several books. Douglas Fowler is a regular contributor to Bil Keane's "Family Circus" syndicated comic strip in addition to being a practicing estate planning and probate attorney. He is the main speaker for the Guild's regular meeting Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the Greater Canton Amateur Sports Hall of Fame at 1414 Market Ave. N. in Canton.
Fowler, who was born blind, has been writing since high school, penning his first 50-page book at age 15 while sitting in study hall. Since then, he has published two books via print-on-demand publishers, "This Little Light," a children's book, and "Never Let Me Go," a teenage romance.
The meeting is open to all interested writers and prospective new members.
