Noted writer to address health-care alliance
WEST MIDDLESEX Pa. -- Well-known writer Conrad Meier will be the main speaker at the Penn Ohio Regional Health Care Alliance's annual meeting and luncheon at 11:45 a.m. Thursday at the Radisson Hotel.
The event is free to Alliance members and $15 for nonmembers. Call (412) 395-4036 to register.
Meier, a senior fellow at the Chicago-based Heartland Institute and managing editor of Health Care News, will discuss the "New Era of Health Care: Medicare and Health Savings Accounts."
He is a former feature writer for medical journals and past Missouri state chairman of the Health Insurance Committee of the National Association of Life Underwriters.
The Penn-Ohio Alliance is a nonprofit organization that offers health-care packages to employers in Beaver, Butler, Lawrence and Mercer counties in Pennsylvania, and Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties in Ohio.
