Mass, brunch set in observance of Metzingers' 50th
XYOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. John E. Metzinger of 2542 Nadyne Drive will be honored Feb. 15 during a 9 a.m. Mass at St. Christine Church on the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary.
Invitations have been extended for a brunch to follow at Davidson's Restaurant by the couple's children and their spouses, Joe and Pam Metzinger of Youngstown; Joan and Frank Koltonski of Lumberton, N.C.; John and Donna Metzinger of Boardman; Jim Metzinger of Canfield; Mary Ann and John James of Richmond, Va.; Tom and Vinetta Metzinger of Austintown; Bob and Shelly Metzinger of Poland; Patty and Mark Billec of Canfield; Michael and Jona Metzinger of Elyria; and Bill and Dawn Metzinger of Streetsboro.
Mr. Metzinger and the former Joanne A. Cleary were married Feb. 13, 1954, at St. Dominic Church. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and retired in 1984 from the U.S. Postal Service in Youngstown, where he was postmaster.
His wife is a homemaker.
The couple belong to St. Christine Church. Seventeen grandchildren complete their family.
