XCUREPE, Trinidad -- The wedding of Jasmin Judy John and Stephen Bartley Cooper took place at 3 p.m. Jan. 3 at Our Lady of Fatima Church.
The bride is a daughter of Janet John of Trincity and the late Arthur John. Mr. Cooper is a son of F. Bartley and Ann Cooper of Canfield.
Monsignor Esau Joseph and the Rev. Robert Llanos officiated, and a reception was held at Top of the Mount, Mount St. Benedict, Tunapuna.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Tobago and are living in North Ridgeville.
The bride wore a beaded gown of guipure lace fashioned with a fitted bodice and cap sleeves. The embroidered organza skirt was detailed with beads and sequins on the hemline.
Her sister, Jennifer S. Clair of Port of Spain, was honor attendant, and James Johnston of Columbus performed the duties of best man.
Mrs. Cooper is a graduate of the University of the West Indies and teaches Spanish at St. Joseph Convent.
Her husband graduated from Georgetown University. He is an engineer with Diequa Corp. of Chicago.
